Following the RBA's announcement on March 2nd of an increase to the official cash rate, the interest rates applicable to all existing Sutherland Credit Union variable rate loan facilities will increase by 0.25% pa, effective from 1 April.

Chip card technology is the emerging technology that will reduce the possibility of card fraud, particularly in regard to counterfeit cards. Sutherland Credit Union, along with all Visa Card issuers is now going through a process where all new cards issued will be Chip Card as opposed to cards with only magnetic strips.
